**About the opportunity**:
To support the delivery of high-quality precast products to some of Australia’s largest infrastructure projects we are looking for a precast supervisor with experience in managing a large team of multi skilled people
The precast supervisor will be accountable for ensuring the best outcome is achieved in areas such as productivity, health and safety, and quality.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in manufacturing a large variety of high-quality precast products for various projects.
**Typical Tasks and Responsibilities**:
Management of the following activities:
- Compliance of the precast products to shop drawings
- Managing material inventory
- Timely manufacture of precast elements through subordinates which may include Quality Engineers, Leading hands, trades, etc.
- Production program to achieve client requirements
- Daily workforce requirements with Project Manager
- Safety of the workforce
- Workforce fatigue
- Quality of product
Effective day to day supervision of the workforce.
Conduction daily pre-start meetings with the team.
Effective communication of daily roles and responsibilities.
Understanding and effectively managing the daily production required.
Always consistently putting process improvements in place.
Knowledge from lessons learnt transferred to Project Engineers and workforce.
All process changes implemented with appropriate approved SWMS (JSEA).
Review and close out all near misses / incidents as required with the appropriate personnel.
Ensure accurate daily production reporting.
**The Role**
In this role you will work with and supervise a production team with tasks including:
- Daily dimensional checks of precast products (pre-pour inspection).
- Planning production layout, flow and resource requirements.
- Effectively plan, coordinate and supervise daily production tasks within your team.
- Training, coaching and provide performance management to team members.
- Assist management with recruiting activities including interviews and onboarding.
- Storage and assessment of consumables, tools & equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all necessary WHS, PPE and QA requirements.
- Plan and lead communications in tool box meetings.
- Liaise with management and other supervisors for efficient resource allocation.
- Undertake accurate daily production reporting.
- Lead regular housekeeping activities within your team to maintain a clean, tidy, organised and safe working environment.
- Contribute to and promote a positive working culture in line with the Ozcast Precast values.
- Engage across all levels to lead improvements in performance, safety and quality.
You will also assist your team with daily production tasks including:
- Stripping and resetting precast moulds.
- Placing and finishing concrete.
- Quality assurance.
- While rewarding, this is a physically demanding role. You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding daily production targets with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency.

You will demonstrate the following qualities for this role:
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings and interpret for the production team.
- Ability to lead and positively motivate your team to higher levels of performance.
- Ability to plan work and coordinate tasks within the team.
- Ability to develop, improve and follow procedures and standards.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills.
- A thorough understanding of precast products.
- Substantial experience in managing people and construction processes.
You don’t need any qualifications however experience as a production supervisor is essential. Concreting / precast experience will be beneficial.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
