We are currently seeking a hardworking and passionate individual to join our highly successful team. As a Doggy Daycare Attendant, you will play a vital role in socialising and caring for multiple dogs, matching groups based on behaviour and personality, and monitoring their well-being. You will also be responsible for maintaining clean enclosures, providing exercise and enrichment, and assisting with pet transport and office duties. This is a casual position, with the potential for up to 5 shifts per week that may increase during peak times. Essential prerequisites for this role include: - Teamwork: You must thrive in a team environment where all staff members respect and communicate effectively with each other, relying on one another for support. - Communication & Customer Service: We value exceptional customer service experience and outstanding communication skills to ensure the utmost satisfaction of our clients. - Physical Ability / Time Management: This role demands physical stamina and resilience, as you will be working in all weather conditions. A "can do" attitude and effective time management skills are essential to complete tasks promptly and efficiently. - Extensive Canine Behavioural Knowledge: A deep understanding of canine behaviour is crucial, as you will be handling multiple dogs of varying sizes and temperaments. - Superior Customer Service Skills: We prioritise exceptional customer service to provide an outstanding experience for our clients and their pets. - Current Driver's Licence and Willingness to Drive: A valid driver's licence is required, and you should be open to driving our dedicated Pet Taxi when needed. - Commitment to Work Weekends and Holiday Periods: As our services operate every day, including weekends and holidays, you must be available to work during these times, including Christmas Day and New Year. - Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident: Due to legal requirements, we can only consider Australian citizens or permanent residents for this position. Desirable skills and experience include: - 12 months or more of experience within an animal-related industry. - Qualification in Companion Animal Services (or similar) OR large animal/farm experience. - Dog training experience. - Animal husbandry knowledge. - Strong understanding of reading and understanding dog behaviour. - Knowledge of cleaning and infection control procedures. - Excellent face-to-face and written communication skills. - Ability or scope to learn reservation programmes. - Confidence in driving a transport van around the city. - Aptitude for training and learning. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
