**Job description**

We are looking for support workers to fill out shifts for participants. Shifts are available in various locations (Parramatta, Merrylands, Cherrybrook, Ryde, Harris Park, Blacktown, Hills areas). The working hours are 2-7 hours per shift, potentially workers can pick up to 20 hours per week, Training will be provided, however, experience working with conditions such as mental health, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities are essential.

**Hours of work**:
2-7 hours per shift, up to 20 hours per week, flexible hours, various location (Parramatta, Merrylands, Ryde, Cherrybrook, Harris Park, Hills areas)

**The responsibilities include**:
Providing companionship to participants, accompanying them on social activities, appointments, or other types of events they wish to attend

Transporting clients to and from appointments, recreational activities, or other sites that they required

Assisting client with home-based activities, such as housekeeping, minor cleaning, meal preparation, grocery shopping

Developing skills of interest and daily living skills, such as shopping, meal preparation, taking public transport

Assisting clients to achieve their goals and enhance their independence

**To successfully perform this role, you will need**:
Certificate of Mental Health/Disability or equivalent or willingness to enrol (presently studying related field).

Experience working with autism spectrum disorders, mental health conditions or intellectual disabilities is necessary

Understanding and following Work, Health and Safety policies and procedures

Understanding and implementing the concept of professional boundaries and ethical behaviour

Understanding triggers and being familiar with a behaviour support plan (desirable)

Mental Health First Aid (desirable)

**Essential requirements**:
National Police check

Working With Children Check

First Aid Certification

Australian Driver’s License and access to a reliable and insured car

Covid fully vaccination certificate.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates
