Join BallyCara as a Support Worker
Are you a dedicated Support Worker with a passion for empowering individuals to maintain their independence and enjoy meaningful daily activities? BallyCara, a leading aged care organisation, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Qualified Support Worker to join our team in the Scarborough/Moreton Bay North community.
We’re looking for someone who is ready to start immediately and is available for at least three days per week. We have a variety of shifts available, including afternoons and some evenings, with the latest shift finishing around 8:00 PM. This flexibility allows you to balance work with your lifestyle while making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with personal care, mobility, and domestic tasks.
- Provide social support and facilitate community and wellness activities.
- Communicate effectively with your team leader about client needs and progress.
- Transport clients to appointments and social events.
- Travel throughout the community between client homes (paid kilometers).

**Skills and Experiences**:
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Community Services, or current nursing students who have completed an aged care placement.
- Previous experience in aged care or community services is highly regarded.
- Basic computer proficiency with accurate documentation skills.
- Strong ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with supervisors.
- Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude towards aging and aged care.
- Current Australian Open Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
- Experience supporting clients with dementia is highly desirable.
- Sign language skills would be a valuable asset.
- Willingness to work with Level 2 clients, with a focus on domestic assistance and social support.
- Up to date National Police Check clearance or ability to get one through BallyCara recruitment process
- First Aid and CPR certifications.
- COVID-19 vaccinations in line with Government recommendations.
