We are currently seeking OOSH **Educators and Assistants** to join the teams at several of our successful and well-established services across the** Newcastle, Maitland and Hunter** regions**.

These opportunities will be offered on a**permanent part-time basis,** working across our before and after school programs and vacation care programs.

**You must be available to work afternoon shifts at least twice a week.**

As an OOSH Educator / Assistant, you will be responsible for:

- Supervising children’s play, ensuring their physical safety while promoting and guiding positive behaviour
- Assisting the developing and implementing programs that offer a diverse range of experiences to promote children’s independence, social skills, learning, and development.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA**
- Computer literacy in order to document examples of learning stories
- Experience in an OOSH service (desirable)
- Experience in sport directional coaching (desirable)
- The ability to engage with children through playing a musical instrument (desirable)
- Knowledge and practice of a second language (desirable)
- The ability to incorporate relaxing / meditation or yoga techniques (desirable)

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Certificate III in Children’s Services **or**Certificate IV in School Age Education as identified by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority or be studying towards and early childhood or Primary Teaching qualification
- Working with Children Check verification number
- Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training (desirable)
- Food Handler Basics Training (desirable)
