Materials & Quality Technician

SunGreenH2 is an award-winning venture backed company developing proprietary nanostructured electrodes for all commercial electrolyzers to unlock affordable green hydrogen globally. We have a vision for zero carbon, low cost, green hydrogen available globally at scale.

To achieve our vision, we are expanding our fast-growing team with a Materials and Quality Technician to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. Your responsibilities will include fabrication and testing of our materials. You will be tasked with general laboratory and manufacturing-based tasks, assisting the development team with specific projects as well as pilot manufacturing as necessary.

*You must have the right to live and work in Australia to be eligible for this role.

**Responsibilities**
- Working closely with our materials engineering team to test and characterize various materials and document all results
- Assist in electrochemical deposition, etching and testing
- Assist with our electrode manufacturing process
- Perform characterization tests on our fabricated electrodes and sintered metal alloys
- Assist in laboratory day-to-day operations including lab organization, works instructions, and safety protocols
- Prepare progress updates and presentations

**Your Profile**
- Tertiary qualification in science / materials engineering or related discipline
- Interest and/or experience in manufacturing or a laboratory environment is an advantage
- A ‘hands-on’ approach with an interest in technical work and quality control
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Proficiency in MS Office programs
- Passionate about clean energy with a high level of technical creativity and problem-solving skills
- An organised team player with a high level of integrity
