AIR6500 is the RAAF’s $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. AIR6500 will create a fully networked ‘system of systems’ that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- A Scrum Master is a key role in Agile teams and is responsible for ensuring that Scrum practices are followed and assists the team work effectively. Here’s a quick overview:

- Facilitates Scrum Events: Runs daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Removes Impediments: Helps the team overcome obstacles that block progress.
- Coaches the Team: Guides team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices to improve productivity and collaboration.
- Supports the Product Owner: Helps manage the product backlog and ensures clear communication between the team and stakeholders.
- Promotes Continuous Improvement: Encourages regular reflection and adaptation to enhance team performance.
- Protects the Team: Shields the team from external distractions and interruptions to maintain focus.
- In short, the Scrum Master is the team’s facilitator, coach, supports the leader, enabling the team to deliver value efficiently.

**About you**:

- We are looking for someone who is looking for a dynamic work place and willing to take on a pivotal role to assist in the delivery of AIR6500 milestones. You may not have a background in Agile methodology but are looking for a change and a passion for learning and delivery.
You may have a background in Project Management, Systems engineering, Quality, Business Improvement.
Together, they offer the right grounding to support your journey toward becoming a Release Train Engineer.
We are seeking someone who brings:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent facilitation and coaching skills, enabling you to guide teams towards delivering high-value software.
- The ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and create a high-performing, accountable culture
- knowledge of key tools e.g. JIRA and Confluence.
- If you already have the following it would be an advantage:

- Strong understanding of Software practices and management within an SAFe program.
- SAFe RTE, SAFe STE, PSM 1 2 or 3, CSM, or A-CSM Certification
