Thor's Hammer has been recycling timber and making architectural products, joinery and high quality furniture since 1994. We are looking for someone to fill a full-time position as Office & Operations Administrator, based in our beautiful showroom in Griffith, ACT. This role supports our design & sales, management and production teams in our collective effort to provide the highest quality recycled timber products and services to our clients.
The tasks performed within this role range from scanning and printing, updating spreadsheets, creating reports and managing website sales through to logistics, inventory management, routine bookkeeping and assisting with events and functions.
This role would suit someone looking to advance their career in office, operations and/or business administration. Reporting directly to the Business Manager, this is a role with scope for further progression based on your areas of interest and expertise.
**About You**
- The ability to use database & bookkeeping systems, spreadsheets and a range of business apps and a proven record as a quick learner
- Passionate about being involved in a recycling business supplying high-quality, environmentally friendly products
- A high attention to detail and the ability to be very accurate in your work
- Able to prioritise results and help improve the systems that you will be using
- A friendly and service-oriented disposition, willing to help us go ‘above and beyond’ for our clients
**Experience and background**
- Competent in office programs - prior experience with Google Workspace and with Mac computers is a plus
- A minimum of 5 year’s experience in an administrative, operations or bookkeeping role, or an equivalent combination of experience and a qualification
- Demonstrated success in previous roles and/or study and a history of achieving your goals
- Good arithmetic and basic maths
- Good written English
- A working knowledge of Xero
**Key Responsibilities**
- Routine bookkeeping including entering purchases, daily reconciliations and fortnightly payroll (training provided)
- Organising timber deliveries and logistics
- Managing website sales and associated freight
- Cross checking and updating spreadsheets including our production schedules
- Maintenance of our timber inventory database
- Keeping the showroom stocked with information sheets and job sheets
- Restocking shelves and performing stocktakes of our timber coating and hardware products
- Creating room sheets and price lists for exhibition openings in our gallery space
**Working Environment**
Thor's Hammer operates from the old Tip Top Factory at 10 Mildura St, Griffith ACT. We have refurbished the building and we have created a beautiful showroom and office space downstairs, and turned the old dough mixing rooms upstairs into a furniture gallery and exhibition space.

**Career Progression**

**Remuneration**
The salary range is from $65K to $75K including super. Remuneration will be negotiated depending on your experience and skills.
