About the opportunity- Casual Social Work positions at Grade 2 level are available at both Mercy Hospital for Women and Werribee Mercy Hospital- Grade 3 positions are available for weekend shifts in the ED at Werribee Mercy Hospital- These positions encompass a clinical caseload within the maternity or gynaecological streams at Mercy Hospital for Women and the acute, subacute, ED, maternity and paediatric streams at Werribee Mercy Hospital- This position will form part of an integral multi-disciplinary team and will be required to provide highly responsive and flexible services to consumers whilst upholding a high level of professionalism and practising the core values of Mercy Health- This role will encourage best practise philosophy amongst staff and will be expected to demonstrate an advanced clinical skill set- Applicants interested in the Emergency Department position will have a demonstrated ability to provide a clinical service to a broad range of client groups

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work with a minimum of 2 years' experience and eligibility for membership to the AASW- Sound knowledge of current evidence based practises and commitment to continuing professional development and research- Prior hospital experience is highly desirable- Adaptive, creative, with a passion for patient-focused care

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.- Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
