Motion Designer

RUCKUS Studio is a Brisbane-based animation studio founded for the sole purpose of creating captivating imagery. We direct, produce and collaborate to create top-shelf animation, motion graphics, VFX and digital content, focusing on craft with a purpose.

We are looking for a Motion Designer to join our team of artists in our Fortitude Valley Studio.

What we are looking for.

You will have at least 5 years of Motion Design experience, preferably in a studio as part of a team. Creating high-quality work for multiple digital platforms and using tools such as the Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator). Experience with Cinema 4d is a huge bonus. You’re someone who knows what Good is, and wants to try different ways of getting there with a team of like-minded people.
- 5+ years of Motion Design and Animation experience
- A strong understanding of design and animation fundamentals: colour theory, typography, layout and composition, keyframing, timing and pacing.
- Experience using Adobe CC. Cinema 4D would be a bonus.
- A basic understanding of compositing techniques. Green screen, rotoscoping, clean up, etc
- Experience in creating video and static assets.
- A constant drive to learn new tech and progress your craft.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Illustration skills. Dabbling in Character Design gets more bonus points.
- To know when to push a project further, or when it’s not what the client wants.
- This will be a client-facing role, so being comfortable in client sessions is a must.

**Salary**: $74,000 to $78,000 per year, plus superannuation.

The role is full-time and preferably in our Brisbane Studio.

Pay: $74,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
