**Specialist Coordinator - Occupational Therapy** **Mental Health Services & NDIS** **Part-Time (Monday & Tuesday) - Permanent** An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist with advanced mental health industry experience to join our team at the new Joondalup Health Campus **Mental Health Unit** **About the Role** The MHU has undergone major redevelopment and is opening its doors to a new facility with a capacity of 102 beds, including new **youth and older adult units.** The successful applicant will be an integral part of the growing MHU OT team, leading and contributing to the OT service development across the inpatient mental health setting. **About You** To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with proven experience in an acute and/ or inpatient mental health setting. Your capacity to lead and mentor a team, along with your ability to communicate effectively and maintain relationships with patients, staff and stakeholders is essential. **Essential** - Demonstrated ability to provide assessment, intervention and evaluation of people with mental health diagnosis within an MDT, in an acute mental health setting with a minimum experience of 3-5 years - Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes - Demonstrated ability to lead program development in response to organisational need - Proven leadership and high-level problem-solving skills, with a solution focused approach - Demonstrated understanding of the complex requirements and operational challenges of the services within the mental health portfolio **Desirable** - Demonstrated ability to lead/contribute to quality initiatives/service improvement activities and projects - Experience working in youth or older adult mental health services **Why Joondalup Health Campus?** Joondalup Health Campus is the largest health care facility in Perth’s northern suburbs, providing 24-hour acute care from an integrated public and private campus.
