Inspired by small, independent food stores and markets from around the world, Andrew McConnell’s Morning Market brings the spirit of these charming places to Melbourne. Morning Market is a welcoming corner store showcasing seasonal produce, flowers, groceries and baked goods. Baker Bleu bread is available daily, with cakes, cookies & tarts, salads & sandwiches made in house. Grocery essentials for every day range from local dairy & deli provisions, to pantry essentials, condiments & much more.

With locations in Fitzroy & Prahran, each store is a hub of convenience for produce usually reserved for restaurants. Street-side seating offers a moment fo repose and enjoyment after a daily shop - a meeting place for coffee, lunch or sweet treats among friends.

The opportunity:
Morning Market is seeking a strong leader to maintain a positive working culture and oversee all aspects of the day-to-day running of our Prahran store, alongside our established team. Applicants will have experience leading a team in a retail and / or hospitality environment, with proven, success, rigour and humility.

Full-time & part-time positions available
- Work within one of the country’s most acclaimed and esteemed hospitality groups - Andrew McConnell’s Trader House
- Play a pivotal role in defining an exceptional food business - your engagement in the curation of our range is encouraged
- Develop your skills in cafe management, overseeing our coffee program and food service
- Act as an ambassador for the best products available - seasonal produce, sourdough, baked goods, coffee and fresh local flowers
- Build relationships across multiple stores and communities, alongside a strong Retail management team
- Lead from the front, with high quality internal training and leadership
- Have autonomy over and responsibility for procedures, with support and trust from your managers
- Thrive in a dynamic, lively and fast-paced working environment
- Work to clearly defined targets for stock and cost management
