**JOB Title**:Female Disability Support Worker

**JOB TYPE**:Casual

**LOCATION: North Melbourne area**

**2. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred care to an NDIS participant. This role involves supporting the individual with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and community access to enhance their independence and overall quality of life.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide respectful and dignified **personal care**, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support with **meal preparation** according to the participant's dietary needs and preferences
- Assist with **mobility and transfers**, including the safe use of equipment where required
- Support the participant to engage in the **community**, including attending appointments, shopping, recreational activities, or social events
- Encourage the development of **daily living skills** and promote **independence**:

- Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports, and documentation as required
- Work collaboratively with the participant, their family, and other professionals to support goal achievement in line with their **NDIS plan**:

- Follow behaviour support plans and other relevant care documentation
- Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures and safeguarding policies

**Skills & Requirements**:

- Previous experience in disability support or personal care (desirable but not essential)
- Cert III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (if applicable)
- Full Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- COVID-19 vaccination (as per current health regulations)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Respectful, empathetic, and client-focused approach

Pay: $36.00 - $43.00 per hour

**Experience**:
