**Responsibilities**:
**Business Development**:
Effective management of a defined region, covering all agreed outlets at optimum frequencies in a cost-effective manner. Source and communicate new business leads to line manager.

**Budget**:
Achievement of financial and non-financial targets for designated region.

**Compliance**:
Drive execution of agreed and over and above national, state and local promotional opportunities. This incorporates but is not limited to sales drives, sales promotions, key events and display acquisition.

**Distribution**:
Increase BIC’s product offer at the point of purchase to by increasing existing or expansion through new products in-line with company objectives.

**Market Intelligence**:
Inform customers, both internal and external, of market trends, pricing and new products.

**Sales Team Support**:
To support national sales function, attend meetings and deliver both financial and non-financial KPI’s.

**Health & Safety Compliance**:
Follow all steps ensuring a safe environment for self and others as per company guidelines.

**Policy & Procedure Compliance**:
Operating in accordance with BIC policies and procedures.

**Other**:
Various other duties as requested.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- Industry experience in a selling function, preferably FMCG accounts with Independent grocery experience;
- Demonstrates sound financial acumen;
- Impeccable communication and negotiation skills;
- Well-presented and highly motivated;
- Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills;
- Highly autonomous and ambitious;
- Current driver’s license

**Desirable**:

- Tertiary qualifications, ideally in business; and
- Proven success in new business development.
