Welshpool, Australia Southern Cross Personnel Full time

Our client is looking for a full time Service Technician for their Welshpool(Perth Branch) to perform routine maintenance, breakdown 24/7 operation and fault-finding work on a large variety of Air Compressors and Generators. You will require Mechanical Trade to be successful in this role.

**Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to**:

- Troubleshooting and fault finding/Mechanical & Electrical (have ability to read Electrical schematics)
- Routine servicing of mechanical systems
- General maintenance and servicing of compressed air systems/generators in workshop and customer sites

**The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following**:

- Maintenance background
- Relevant mechanical trade qualifications
- Ability to study drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings
- Skilled in fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment
- Ability to check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments
- Ability to form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal
- Diagnosing skill to find faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
- A commitment to workplace safety
- Good computer literacy and administration skills.
- Restricted Electrical License is preferred but not essential.

You will be provided with a fully maintained company service vehicle, mobile telephone and company uniform will be supplied.
