**About the role**:
Mornington Peninsula Shire are seeking a full time permanent Sports Turf Manager to assist in the pro active and reactive maintenance of sporting fields through out the local council. The role will primarily be responsible for mowing, weeding and pest treatment activities.

**Responsibilities include**:

- General open space maintenance including turf maintenance, mowing, spraying etc.
- Operate and program irrigation systems
- Safe use and maintenance of trucks and horticultural/turf machinery
- Supervise subcontractors
- Respond to general public and customer enquiries
- Liaise with Operations Supervisors/Managers, employees and customers
- Other duties as required within the scope of the role

**To be considered you must possess the following**:

- Proven experience or trade/tertiary qualifications in Turf and Irrigation management or a related field;
- Medium ridged Truck Licence
- Level 2 Work Place First Aid Certification
- Farm Chemical Users Certification
