**About the Role**

As a **Disability Support Worker / Personal Care Assistant**, you will be supporting participants to achieve their personal goals and maintain their independence in a safe and positive environment. Every day will bring variety — from personal care to community engagement and skill-building activities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide personal care, including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Support participants in daily living activities such as meal preparation, household tasks, assistance with administering medication, manual handling, etc.
- Assist with community access, social outings, and recreational activities.
- Follow Behaviour Support Plans and organisational policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and shift reports.
- Communicate effectively with participants, families, and other team members.

- Reliability, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

**Essential Requirements**
- Current **NDIS Worker Screening Check** (or ability to obtain).
- **Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP)** Card - Tasmania.
- **Current First Aid & CPR** Certificate.
- **Australian Driver’s Licence** and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- **COVID-19 Vaccination** (as per current health requirements).
- Completion of the **NDIS Worker Orientation Module**.

**Desirable Qualifications**
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability or Aged Care) or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, disabilities or behaviours of concern.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week

Work Location: In person
