**About us**:
Regional Road Freighters is a family-owned logistics management business based in Forbes NSW.

We have a loyal client base across the east coast of Australia who we provide logistics services for daily.

We specialise in logistics and warehousing moving everyday general freight items to machinery across the eastern states of Australia.

We are currently seeking reliable, punctual, motivated and enthusiastic drivers to join our team based in Melbourne.

**About the position**:
Starting from our Truganina or Forbes depot, the position is open to HC drivers who would be required to service routes covering local/regional Melbourne areas and longhaul service routes covering VIC, NSW, QLD and SA with overnight trips involved.

The freight is predominantly tautliner palletised freight and occasionally open trailers transporting machinery.

**Successful applicants must have**:

- A current HC driver licence with at least 12 months experience
- Drivers license print out no older than 3 months
- A commitment to workplace safety
- Clear communication skills both written and verbal
- Understanding of Chain of Responsibility, mass and fatigue laws
- Basic Fatigue Management or willing to obtain
- Forklift license preferred or willing to obtain
- Maintain accurate records of pre-starts, pick ups and deliveries via smart phone
- Sound knowledge of load restraint methods for various freight items
- Attention to detail with customer requirements, requests and paperwork
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Physically fit
- Dangerous Goods licence preferred or willing to obtain

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical which includes drug and alcohol screening.

A 3-month probation period applies.

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (Essential)
- Dangerous Goods Licence (preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: From $32.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- HC Driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- HC Australian Drivers Licence (required)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Dangerous Goods Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
