Cartage Australia is looking for an experienced and safety-focused Driver Trainer to join our team in Truganina. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional driver who is passionate about safety, compliance, and helping others succeed.

About the Role

As a Driver Trainer, you will play a key role in supporting new employees as they learn our company's procedures, safety standards, and operational expectations.

This is not a driving instructor role — instead, you'll be ensuring new team members are confident and capable in completing their day-to-day tasks safely and efficiently.

Your goal will be to make sure every new driver understands and upholds the Cartage Australia standard when it comes to:

  • Safe tipping and safe driving practices
  • Company procedures and compliance requirements
  • General operational excellence and teamwork

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct hands-on training for new drivers in company procedures and expectations
  • Assess and support driver competency in day-to-day operational tasks
  • Promote and enforce safety, compliance, and professionalism across all activities
  • Provide clear communication, feedback, and guidance to all trainees
  • Complete Cartage Australia's comprehensive induction and training program upon commencement

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Safety and compliance focused
  • Patient and an excellent communicator who enjoys helping others learn
  • Experienced in professional driving and operations
  • Knowledgeable about transport safety and company standards

Requirements

  • Current MC Licence (preferred)
  • Valid White Card (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in transport operations
  • Availability for day shift work at our Truganina depot
