Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator Melbourne

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced and highly passionate Senior Registered Nurse with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to manage the Operating Theatre at a private hospital in Melbourne. It is a permanent Part-Time position.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As the Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator, you will be responsible for the workflow coordination of the shift, ensuring the timely and efficient flow of operating lists and labour management. Your responsibilities will include overseeing safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards, supporting and liaising with the Perioperative department and wards' Nurse Unit Manager and ensuring all theatres are staffed appropriately and cost-efficient.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- At least 3 years experience in perioperative settings;
- Postgraduate certificate in perioperative nursing or equivalent (desirable);
- Excellent working knowledge of ACQSHC National standards;
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders;
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care;
- A high degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases;
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment;
- Understanding of legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilization standards;
- Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality / Risk management;
**REMUNERATION**
$57.78 per hour.
**ABOUT THE FACILITY**
The Hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with over 250 beds, providing Emergency Services, Intensive Care and Cardiac Services, including two twenty-four-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. The Hospital has 13 theatres, which offer a broad range of specialties, including Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Laparoscopic, Colorectal, Vascular and General Surgery and 2 dedicated endoscopy units.
