Part Time and Full Time Opportunities available**
The Operating Theatre Assistant (OTA) is a key position in running the Operating Theatres by ensuring patients arrive to and from theatre on time as well restocking, cleaning and removing refuse within the Department. The person undertaking this role will be an effective team member who is responsible for helping to maintain and organise a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff within Perioperative Services.**Your new role**:
- Patient Transport to and from the operating theatres
- Assistants with Patient turns and Hygiene
- Transfer of blood products and specimens
- Replenishment of consumables throughout the department including fluid and blanket cabinets
Our OTA’s are a dynamic workforce that can be re-tasked at any time to assist with patient flow and access to keep our theatres running on time.**About you**:
- Minimum Certificate 3 in PSA or at least 12 months current study in a health related field is required to apply
- Demonstrate an ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- The ability to achieve outstanding results in a high pressure environment
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate effectively with other staff, patients and families
