Marketing Communications (Marcom) is the creatively-led global team that oversees Apple’s consumer facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all medias and platforms. Every day, hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world interact with our products. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging and inspiring marketing experiences. The ANZ team develops and manages world-class marketing communication efforts that support Apple’s rapid growth in this region. This includes all consumer-facing communications across Localization, Advertising, Social, Retail, Partner, Interactive & Digital platforms, as well as support for Video & Motion Graphics. As Marcom's Advertising and Brand Lead, you will be responsible for developing the best campaigns for Apple in Australia and New Zealand. This includes origination and localisation work, from creative development, production, deployment, and evaluation of our integrated campaigns. You’ll collaborate with our creative and media agencies and supervise the localisation and amplification of campaigns to work powerfully for our geo markets.
**Description**
The Advertising and Brand Lead will synchronise various Marcom teams to support Apple’s product launch and sustaining marketing communications for the Apple product families. This position will lead a team of highly experienced Brand and Advertising Managers and require close collaboration across multiple functions, including Strategy, Interactive, Channel & Partners Marketing, Apple Retail, Social, and Product Marketing teams to drive integrated campaigns. The day to day responsibilities will include: - Lead the comms strategy of advertising campaigns, working with our creative agency and Apple internal teams (Product Marketing, Strategy, Channel, Retail, Interactive, Social and PR) to evaluate recommendations for relevance and effectiveness within the market. - Effectively lead all local market launches, sustaining activities, products, and seasonal projects. Act as the key interface between the WorldWide (WW) and local Marcom and PM teams. - Build a high-performing team culture, working in close partnership with strategy, production, creative/design, interactive and channel leads - able to speak their language and comfortable driving work across functions. - Provide a single point of contact for campaigns from an overall strategy, communications, and assets perspective. This requires representing the local Geo’s POVs to WW Marcom counterparts while articulating the global strategy for the broader Geo team. - Supervise an effective localisation process while maintaining Apple’s brand positioning. Maintain a consistent tone of voice and look and feel across different touch-points. - Responsible for locally driven Geo Origination work and integrated campaigns - Ensure that all local work created by the agency meets Apple’s standards for creative excellence, technical accuracy, integrity of claims, and protection of Apple’s intellectual property rights, trademarks, and legal lines. - Share regular planning updates and insights with WW and Geo teams on the local Apple business, including sales performance, market share, competitive information, industry happenings, and competitive trends to help guide, advise, and improve our global communications plans and efforts.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Demonstrated 15+ years of Creative Agency or similar experience, in a global or regional capacity, demonstrating extensive knowledge in creative development and delivery.
- Strong understanding of media (traditional and digital) to provide inputs into the media and communications plan.
- Solid production knowledge (films, outdoor, digital, and social).
- 5+ years management experience leading teams.
