**Position Information**:
Gladesville Public School's current student enrolment of 456 is culturally, linguistically and socio-economically diverse. 46% of our students have a language background other than English and 0.4% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Our dedicated team of teaching and support staff work collaboratively to provide high quality teaching programs and a wide array of educational opportunities in a student-centred learning environment. There is a current focus on evidence-based instruction, explicit teaching and assessment in reading and numeracy, building teacher capacity in the analysis of data and student progress monitoring, complemented by the implementation of social emotional learning, early intervention and school-wide behaviour programs.

**Selection Criteria**:

- In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with a demonstrated capacity to balance the dual roles of exemplary classroom teacher with the complex responsibilities of a school leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead, model and build teacher capability in the implementation of high-quality literacy and numeracy programs using evidence-based assessment and effective data analysis to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
- Demonstrated capacity to lead whole school wellbeing practices and manage complex learning and behaviour needs, to build a positive and inclusive culture.
- A highly inspirational and collaborative leader who utilises their strong emotional intelligence to foster positive relationships with staff, students and the wider school community.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning- 6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies**Conditions**:
