**Slaughter person Halal certified - Chicken**
- APG are looking for people to work for our client’s poultry processing factory._
- This role would suit a person that is hardworking, reliable, has positive work attitude and has a passion to deliver a high standard of work._
- There is one opportunity available commencing at 6am for a Halal certified Slaughter person._
- Flexible for shift work, Monday to Friday on a weekly roster including overtime in peak periods - weekends and public holidays if required._

**_You will need to be qualified with a halal certificate, preferably with experience in a similar role_**

**Pay Rate: $37.30**

**Daily Tasks**:

- Identifying and escalating Animal Welfare, Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards, and risks.
- Ensure all birds on the line are effectively stunned prior to the slaughter process.
- Ensure the correct equipment and blade settings for the various bird sizes.
- Monitor birds online for entry into stunner.
- Add salt to stunner bath at regular intervals.
- Clean up around blood tunnel during breaks in processing.
- Reset bird counter at the end of each truck.
- Advise Kill Supervisor if machinery adjustments are required.
- Ensure surrounding work areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
- Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices are always followed.

**To be successful in this role, you will need to**:

- Have a Halal certification or be willing to get certified.
- Performing repetitive tasks
- Understand and follow instructions and procedures.
- Showing commitment, reliability, and motivation
- Respond calmly when faced with obstacles.
- Be able to manually handle up to 5kg
- 15kg.
- No birds, chickens, or pigs at home
- Comfortable working in a dark and humid environment
- Ability to work with live birds.
- Be able to stand for long periods of time.

This role does require full working rights Student and working holiday visas need not apply.
