**ABOUT THE POSITION**

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Procurement Professional to lead and take ownership of the Procurement activities in Australia. This role will have a functional reporting line to Director Procurement and Logistics - APAC and an operational reporting line to GM of Australia.

Key responsibilities include:

- Be part of the Australian Leadership team and provide culture, strategic and operational leadership to the Australian business and its employees to ensure future success.
- Lead a team of highly skilled individuals; develop and implement the procurement strategies to enable the business growth and successfully deliver the Projects.
- Develop new suppliers/contractors for improved price, delivery and quality.
- Interface with internal teams and external specialists to arrange technical specifications, scope of works and performance requirements into a suite of procurement agreements.
- Support the Sales/Tendering Deal team and effectively manage obtaining the proposals from the suppliers to meet the tender time frames and key tender deadlines.
- Actively lead and negotiate procurement agreements/contracts to procure products and services for the Balance of Plant including engineering consultants, Design and Construct contractors, transmission line works, commissioning, Switchroom, HV & MV Transformers, civil works, Logistics, etc.
- Support the development and execution of contracts including to ensure adherence to key project timeframes through the effective management of contract terms negotiations aligned to the Fluence obligations with the Customers.
- Ensure robust record keeping and information lifecycle management throughout the procurement planning, tender and contract execution lifecycles.
- Provide oversight, support and governance to all contractor/supplier procurement activities.
- Manage vendor selection and appointment.
- Issue purchase orders to secure products and services.
- Coordinate with Fluence Global Supply chain and offshore suppliers to ensure project specific shipping requirements are met.
- Instigate/maintain the required permits/licenses required for goods importation.
- Collaborate on implementation of the procurement transformation road map
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.
- Ability to interact in a multicultural environment and to work under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and develop relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Natural curiosity and problem-solving skills with the ability to pivot procurement strategies to adapt to changes in market conditions, engineering or supplier issues,
- At least 10 years’ experience in the management of EPC and/or O&M contracts and long lead item procurement (in civil, mechanical or electrical works, power systems and across renewable energy, utility, oil and gas industry),
- Experience in auditing the strategic Contractors/suppliers,
- Ability to design, compile and monitor supply chain risk framework,
- Ability to compile proposals and presentations for senior management,
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook,
- Ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate behaviors that promote employee safety and accountability,
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work to deadlines,
- Attentive to details in performing all aspects of the role,
- Aligns with organization’s vision and values, and
- Demonstrable ability working in a high-performance team within a matrixed and global organization.
