**The role**:
eHealth Queensland require an experienced technical consultant who can design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise grade network solutions.
Using your skills and experience you will undertake the design, planning and implementation of technical solutions based on Cisco networking infrastructure, ensuring alignment with best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks.
You will assist in delivering the implementation of technical solutions within best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks. This role will be tasked with managing the development and implementation of large scale and complex technical solutions on medium to large scale 24 x 7 sites, whilst also being responsible for providing expert technical advice.

**Desirable Skills/Experience**:

- Proven experience working in an Enterprise Network Environment.
- Scope network projects and participate in their implementation, as part of a team.
- Review networks for upgrades and improvements and present network solutions to customers
- Strong Networking skills in Routing, Switching, WiFi, Firewalls (OSPF, MPLS, BGP, VLANs, VPLS, etc).
- Detailed network design, documentation, and implementations
- Experience in project environments.

**Other key responsibilities may include**:

- Installation and configuration of enterprise network equipment, including routers, switching, wireless LAN devices and firewalls.
- Support the development, publication, implementation and compliance of project deliverables and related standards and procedures at an enterprise level.
- Actively participate in a team of specialist technical resources in the delivery of complex technical solutions.

Are you right for this role?In this role, you will demonstrate your high level of technical network skills including communication links, routing, switching and firewall technologies, network security and monitoring. You will also have technical expertise in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions, improvements, and IM/ICT changes within best practice IM/ICT frameworks. Expertise in the design, implementation and management of enterprise grade data/voice network is highly desired as well as broad industry knowledge of networking technologies, products, vendors, and trends.

You will have experience in the build, documentation and implementation technical solutions within best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks for large scale complex organisations.

You will use your well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to facilitate interaction in group situations and rely on your analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate network requirements and identify trends. Your ability to prioritise workload across multiple projects and business-as-usual tasks is essential along with experience in managing and participating in large network transformational projects. You will have a proven ability to influence customers and project teams through change management initiatives and work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with stakeholders. Overtime, state-wide travel and a drivers license are a requirement of this role.
