**About - Student and Scholarly Services**
Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.
**About the Role**
The Admissions and Selection Manager manages the admissions function for the Faculty of Business and Economics, Melbourne Graduate School of Education and Melbourne Law School. This includes responsibility for student admissions and selection activities that ensure quality applicants are converted into enrolments to meet student load targets.
The role works closely with the Manager, Future Students and Associate Director, Future Students, as well as the Future Students Hub to develop an integrated recruitment and admissions plan for relevant divisions and undertakes ongoing review and monitoring against this plan.
This is an exciting role with the opportunity to work with a range of key stakeholders to ensure selection processes that are transparent and aligned to organisational objectives. You will also have opportunity to implement and further develop your leadership skills managing a large team of admissions and scholarship specialists, driving a culture of service excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership to a large group of admissions and scholarship staff which enable staff to meet individual performance goals in the context of the strategic direction of the Divisional Group and University.
- Ensure the admissions and selection processes within the Divisional Group are efficient and transparent, maximising the conversion of high-quality applicants to admitted students.
- Manage the selection process for courses and scholarships providing data/reporting and collaborating with partners as required.
- Work with the Manager, Future Students to ensure access to, and use of, timely market intelligence and data required for the effective management of recruitment and selection for the Divisional Group.
- Collaborate closely with recruitment and admissions staff across the University in the development of policy, systems, processes and best practice that supports continuous improvement and innovation.
**About You**
You will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant admissions experience and education/training.
- Demonstrated leadership and experience in developing and delivering student admissions plans, aligning organisational strategies, and balancing resourcing demands, preferably within a complex environment.
- Previous experience in undertaking admissions and selection within a tertiary education context.
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
