Publisher’s Internationalé based in North Sydney is recruiting a Sales & Marketing Manager. This is a role within an established global media agency. Reporting to our CEO and working alongside client services this role will lead our business development in NSW and support our existing partnerships across major clients with a focus on international media. Publisher’s Internationale is the oldest and leading international media representation company in Australia with a global footprint across 8 countries. We have a strong focus on Asia with India being a key focus. Leading a team of 3, you will be responsible for the strategic development of business leveraging our platforms, people and presence.
We partner with the world’s best media organisations and digital platforms to deliver intelligent and data-led solutions to our clients. We work with the Government and the private sector. We have also developed our own world-leading technology for traditional and digital media PiRate and BOP. We offer creative and language services, media planning, buying and optimisation, data, research and business insights, in addition to traditional media services.

About the role:
Business planning
Annual budgeting for your team and achievement of set budgets
Identification of suitable clients for our services using your specialist knowledge of the markets we work in especially India.
Development of sales strategy and plans with a focus on budget attainment and the expansion of our client base in Australia and the region.
Client service across existing clients in the portfolio.
Understanding customer goals and KPIs and ensuring that our delivery meets commitments.
Nurture and build the sales team needed to deliver the budget and ensure it is effectively networked with our global resources and media.
Work with our data and insights teams to ensure alignment of clients' briefs to convert these to revenue.
You will guide clients on the right creative posture, market prioritisation, and creative and copy usage.
Maintain continuous contact with global media partners and ensure efficient support for our business through their teams.
Support overseas offices with your knowledge of International media with a focus on India.
You will be culturally adept in relation to key markets with a focus on Asia and more specifically India.
You will track campaigns to KPIs and explain any deviation using the company’s templates.
Celebrate success and win the hearts and minds of clients and the team towards creating a positive impression of our company.
The role requires independent and entrepreneurial thinking. A problem solving approach delivered with passion and integrity.
The role requires the ability to liaise with senior decision taking executives at the client end with the ability to communicate, advise and convince.
It requires a vast knowledge of the international media landscape with a focus on Asia and more precisely India.
You will support the team in delivering on their objectives.
You’ll make resourcing decisions and be actively involved in staff recruitment, making sure we’re bringing the right people into the business.
While taking ultimate responsibility for targets across the sales portfolio, you will also be empowered to contribute on a broader organisational level. You’ll get to participate in the annual global forum held overseas, which helps shape global company strategy, as well as sitting on the local leadership team to drive the direction, culture and success in Australia.
What you’ll need to be successful
A Graduate degree
Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in Business Management.
5 + years working in international markets. India would be an advantage.
5 years working within the media industry in a Sales/Marketing role.
Excellent presentation skills with 3+ years of presenting directly to clients.
Demonstrated success in doing budgets, managing a team and leading sales.
An outgoing personality with a keen interest in travel, meeting people and learning new cultures.
The ability to network with our global media partners.
The ability to train a team and inspire through your experience.
Monitor and drive sales activity across Australia and the region.
The ability and confidence to network with senior executives at various stakeholders including media partners, advertising clients and industry bodies.
Strong mathematical skills to be able to understand media KPIs and explain audience delivery.
The ability to read and interpret technical reports for media planning and buying.
A level of comfort with understanding and interpreting industry research.
