**About the role

Casual opportunity to provide clinical support to assist the Dietetics and Food Services team in the provision of effective and confidential, patient care services across Allied Health and its environments, including the Geriatric and Rehabilitation Services, surgical inpatients and outpatient services. The position will provide environmental maintenance of the specific work areas within the Allied Health services, Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS).

About you

Work within established procedures and guidelines performing duties related to assisting patients and carers with menu selection, providing basic dietary information, provision of meals and snacks, overseeing meal provision, dietary information management, undertaking quality improvement activities and assisting with the prevention of hospital-associated complications in patients.
Maintain relevant clinical documentation and collection of statistics in accordance with organisational guidelines.
Provide a defined range of clinical screening assessments and interventions for patients of the allied health service, as delegated by a relevant allied health professional.
Provide basic education on a defined range of topics to patients or groups of patients.
