**About the Opportunity**:
Within our client’s boutique practice, your role as a bookkeeper holds paramount importance within our Bookkeeping Services division. Collaborate closely with a proficient team to offer vital financial support to a diverse clientele. Showcase your expertise without sacrificing personal fulfillment. **Key Responsibilities**:
- Record Financial Transactions: Input a range of financial activities, including sales, expenses, purchases, and payments, into accounting systems or ledgers.
- Maintain the General Ledger: Methodically document all financial transactions using advanced software or manual accounting methods.
- Reconcile Accounts: Identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy by reconciling bank and credit card statements, and other financial records.
- Manage Payables and Receivables: Handle invoices, monitor customer payments, and efficiently process payments to vendors.
- Oversee Expenses: Categorize and track business expenditures to support budgeting and expenditure management.
- Handle Payroll: Calculate salaries, deductions, taxes, and wages for employees with precision, ensuring timely and error-free payroll processing.
- Generate Financial Reports: Prepare essential financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure Data Integrity: Guarantee accuracy and completeness of financial records for reliable financial reporting and decision-making.
- Document Management: Organize and safeguard financial documents, receipts, and records for future reference and audits.
- Compliance Adherence: Follow relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
- Effective Communication: Collaborate with accountants, financial managers, and team members to provide timely and accurate financial insights.
- Software Proficiency: Competently use accounting software and tools to efficiently conduct bookkeeping tasks.** Requirements**:
- Hold a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated bookkeeping experience, preferably in public accounting or boutique bookkeeping.
- Familiarity with Australian bookkeeping software and tools.
- Keen attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to precise financial recordkeeping.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
