This **is not** your standard 9-5, Monday-Friday environment. We operate 7 days a week, around the global clock to capture real time data. Whilst your hours will mirror a 38-hour week, how and when you deliver those hours will meet the needs of live racing events. This won’t phase you, because you enjoy the flexibility and variety this role and industry offers.

The Thoroughbred and Harness racing industry may not be one that you are familiar with, but you’ll certainly be driven to learning everything there is to know about it.

**The role**

Reporting to the Operations Lead and working closely with managers, CEOs, and racecourse teams, this position ensures seamless real-time race data capture and management. As a Race Day Operator with 2nd Level System Support expertise, your key responsibilities include:
Real-Time Operations:

- Set up and capture real-time race data using in-house tracking technology.
- Monitor live race events, ensuring accurate data for all races.
- Communicate real-time data issues promptly to the Operations Lead.

2nd Level System Support:

- Diagnose and resolve escalated technical issues using advanced tools.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems during live events.
- Analyse logs to identify root causes and implement lasting solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure system reliability in real time.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps for team training on.
- Perform periodic system maintenance, including updates and checks.
- Provide on-call support for critical issues during live events (on-call compensated additionally).

**Your Qualifications**
- Experience in technical operations, particularly with real-time sports data or live event technologies.
- Minimum 2 years in 2nd-level system support, handling escalated technical issues.
- Strong understanding of system integrations and software, hardware, and network dependencies.
- A proactive mindset to anticipate and address technical challenges.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year
