**About the role**
Knox City Council is seeking an exceptional data analyst to join our Enterprise Architecture team. This pivotal role will play a key role in implementing data, information and insights initiatives over a two year period to achieve our goal of becoming a customer centric organisation.
Reporting to the data architect, this role is responsible for designing and developing the data infrastructure that enables data-driven decision-making across the organization, and focuses on analysing customer, financial, organisational, and performance data to create valuable and actionable business insights to support decision-making.
The data analyst will use data visualization tools, reporting solutions, statistical techniques and AI technologies to uncover trends, measure key performance indicators and support strategic initiatives. This role is instrumental in enabling teams to make data-driven decisions by providing clear, accurate, and timely insights.
This is a full time permanent role based at the Civic Centre, Wantirna South. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.
This is a Band 7 classified role. Remuneration will be $107,507.54 - $120,572.47 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
**What you will bring to this role**
- Significant experience developing and embedding systems, tools and processes to support good data enablement and governance practice and planning across the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to translate user business requirement into practical actions to support the data enablement strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, tools and be comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, stakeholders, and products.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder relationship management and project management with the ability to work across multiple projects.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and analysing data.
- Understanding of Generative AI technologies with the ability to use AI tools to be more efficient in delivery solutions, improving delivery quality and new innovative AI driven solutions to improve the overall business performance.
- Understanding of statistical methods and data modelling concepts with the ability to understand business needs, and create analytical data requirements Knowledge of data governance, data privacy principles and data quality improvement.
- Understanding of Self-Service data analysis, and empowering business users to leverage data to create
