**Jack Engineering** is currently seeking an experienced hands on **Structural Steel Installer** to join our dedicated team.

**Who we are and what we do**:
**Jack Engineering** is a family owned structural steel fabrication company based on the **Mornington Peninsula** with over 25 years' experience specialising in bespoke projects for residential and commercial builds across Victoria.

We work with a number of long standing local builders, along with high end Melbourne based construction companies, with our core business in fabrication and erection of structural steel, within residential and commercial type builds.

**About the Role**:
Reporting to our Senior Site Manager and Operations Manager, you will be work within the site installation team, bringing a hands on approach to your work.

**To be successful in this role you will have/be**:

- **Be willing and able to work weekends as required (Saturdays)**:

- **Be willing and able to work in various weather conditions**:

- **Be willing and able to travel to various site locations**:

- Strong communication skills
- Strong and clear problem solving skills
- Strong ability to build customer relationships through positive on site engagement
- Ability to think on your feet, troubleshoot and adapt to various client sites and situations
- Clean driver's license and the ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, if requested

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Read and interpret technical drawings and designs
- Perform assigned duties in a timely, safe, efficient and cost-effective manner
- Carry out the installation of structural steel on site
- Ensure all work in carried out to quality and specification requirements
- Follow and manage all on site OH&S procedures in line with company policy and industry standards

**At times this role may require you to work within the fabrication team, based in Hastings, as required and based on the needs of the business, and at the direction of the Site and Operations Manager.**
- Previous welding experience - essential
- Previous building site experience - essential
- Previous site set out experience - highly regarded
- Certificate III in Engineering - Heavy Fabrication (or equivalent trade qualification) - highly regarded
- Truck license / MR license (or be willing and able to obtain through course) - essential
- EWP and Scissor Lift Ticket
- Dogging ticket (or be willing and able to obtain through course)
- Rigging ticket (or be willing and able to obtain through course)
- Valid Whitecard ticket / Construction Card / High Risk Card
- First Aid Certificate - (or be willing and able to obtain through course)

**NOTE: A National Police Check and Working with Children Check is a requirement of this role.**

**Salary**: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
