Food and Beverage Attendant

Gema Aviation Pty Ltd is currently looking for an experienced food and beverage attendant to join our team at Hobart airport.

This position is casual for approximately 15 to 25 hours per week and up to 38 hours over the peak summer period including weekends and public holidays as well as split shifts.

About the role:
The successful applicant will dedicated to customer service. They will be representing a corporate airline within the airport lounge as a food and beverage attendant.

Duties include but are not limited to: customer service, serving food and beverages to members, overseeing the buffet and replenishing buffet and beverages, basic food preparation, lounge end of shift cleaning, clearing and cleaning of tables.

**Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications**

The successful applicant:

- Must thrive in a team environment
- Must have a valid RSA certificate or willing to get one
- Be eligible to obtain an airport clearance which will require a police clearance and OzCheck clearance, completed through the airline upon successful employment along with a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the food and beverage industry (corporate environment)
- Experience with food preparation
- Exceptional customer service and people skills
- Flexible with working hours and able to work weekends, public holidays and in some instances split shifts
- Hard-working and great time management skills.
- Able to work well under pressure and at times with mínimal supervision
- Exceptionally well presented and groomed

This is an hourly rate paid role under the hospitality industry general award.

Australian citizens, permanent residents and only some long term visa holders will be considered. Working holiday visas or temporary visa holders will not be considered for this position due to the airport clearance requirements.

COVID-19 considerations:
Sanitizer stations are available and staff must wear masks and gloves in the workplace as this is now a mandatory airport requirement. We have a covid safe plan and all airport employees must be fully vaccinated to meet airport mandates.

- Commercial cleaning: 1 year (required)

- Tasmanian Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (required)
