**The Role**
The Assistant Support Services Manager (ASSM) will oversee and manage tasks for the project support officers, ensuring allocation of work to acquisition and support tasking is appropriate and balanced.
The ASSM will provide direct support to project staff to ensure critical and priority tasks are addressed to meet program objectives, and assist the Support Services Manager to enable sustainment activities to be managed and executed in a timely manner.
- Work with the Defence High Frequency Communications System Support Services Manager to provide support to ensure the execution of obligations by the incumbent support contractor.
- Lead and supervise Strategic High Frequency Communications Project Support personnel to achieve outcomes for the procurement and sustainment of High Frequency Capability.

**About our Team**
The Strategic High Frequency Communications program team provides:

- Support to the in-service Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) for the provision of High Frequency (HF) communications to the ADF, dealing directly with ADF partners in the provision of communications services.
- Acquisition activities to procure the enhancement to the DHFCS to ensure the provision of cutting edge enhancements to continue to improve services to the ADF users, working closely with the capability manager and other key stakeholders.

An ability to work in a multi-faceted team and be able to deal with a range of people with different levels of skills and talents to ensure the ongoing provision of good HF communications for the ADF.
