Kids Biz OSHC runs before school, after school and vacation care at multiple sites across Canberra. Our services have a focus on active play to support the development of happy and healthy children. We are seeking staff with a broad range of skills including sports coaching, dance, tutoring, art, science and experience with children. We love to bring our educator’s interests into the program to provide a high quality experience for children.

Our educators and management team are passionate, dedicated and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. Our services are well resourced with an abundance of equipment that is continually updated. You will be working alongside experienced OSHC professionals who are there to support and guide you within an open and consultative leadership approach.

In this position you will be responsible for the service during operational hours, completing tasks that include:

- Supporting a variety of activity sessions including: sports coaching, creative arts, STEM, lifestyle and free play activities for primary school aged children
- Supporting the day to day operations of the service
- Supervising children in a range of activities, including excursions and major activities such as cinemas, bowling, iPlay, colour run, VR immersion experiences, National Zoo & Aquarium and Giant Jumping Castles and inflatables.

**Essential criteria**:

- Must be available during the ACT school holidays
- Must hold a current ACT Working with Vulnerable People card
- A genuine interest and commitment to supporting and promoting the continual development of children
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years old

**Desirable criteria**:

- First aid qualification
- Knowledge of the National Education and Care Law and Regulations
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards
- Knowledge of the My Time, Our Place learning framework
- Hold or be working towards a qualification in a relevant field
- Experience in playing or coaching AFL, basketball, cricket, golf, netball, soccer, tennis or other sports
- Experience working with children

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $25.48 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
