**Branch Manager | Newcastle General Construction**
**About the Role**
- Due to an internal promotion, WesTrac is seeking an experienced leader to take on the role of **Branch Manager** for WesTrac’s Newcastle General Construction (GCON) operation.
- Reporting to the Regional Manager - Central Operations, you will be accountable for the overall safety, financial and operational performance of the Branch. Your role will place a focus on building and maintaining strong customer relationships whilst encouraging continuous improvement of all areas.
- Based at Tomago, this role will require occasional travel to customer sites between Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee branch operations
- Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained through engaging in a safe, productive and customer-focused culture
- Control profits & losses and monitor monthly sales and service targets
- Meet organisational goals through development of branch strategies
- Provide leadership, direction and support to your team, utilising a values-driven approach
- Utilise data to forecast, measure and improve branch performance
- Be the point of escalation for customer queries
- Build and maintain successful customer relationships through effective stakeholder engagement and regular customer visits
- Oversee invoicing, Work in Progress (WIP) and warranty claims
- Oversee the development of team members to deliver high engagement and productivity
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure statewide customer coverage by sharing resources
- Encourage continuous improvement opportunities within the business to ensure effective and efficient operation
**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in Business and/or mechanical trade background desirable
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity
- Experience with Caterpillar (or similar) equipment and exposure to mobile equipment industry
- Highly developed commercial acumen with proven ability to manage customer relationships, budgets, data analysis and report compilation
- Experience in an operational role with proven ability to boost performance
- Ability to present in a professional manner with outstanding communication skills
- Ability to lead high performing teams in changing environments
