Shoolin Consultancy Pty Ltd is an Australian resourcing company, designed to discover and deliver unparalleled HR Solutions and ICT Consultancy solutions in Australia. Currently we are looking for an ICT Security Specialist to join our growing team.

As an ICT Security Specialist you will be undertaking the following duties:

- To undertake scheduled preventive maintenance of backups, recovery procedures, and enforce security and integrity controls across platforms and systems:

- To ensure all identified breaches in security are promptly and thoroughly investigated and that any system changes required to maintain security are implemented immediately.
- To research and design procedures and operational management systems associated with system security and disaster recovery planning in consultation with the relevant stakeholders;
- Ensure delivery of security infrastructure by evaluating existing security technologies and delivering the requirements for firewalls, load balancers and related security and network devices.
- To design public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software and adhering to industry security standards.
- To prepare and maintain security documentation, policies and instructions, and record and detail security breaches and operational procedures;
- Deliver the best security practice to make any change in security infrastructure, performing risk and impact analysis.

The position will report to the Director.

The job will be full time, with hours to be worked between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.

Successful applicants must have:
Qualifications:
Relevant bachelor’s degree qualification or higher.

**Experience**:
5 years previous experience or more in a similar role in lieu of formal qualification.

**Skills**:

- Expertise in implementing best security practice, architecture standards, policies, process and technology
- Expertise in managing critical security infrastructure components
- Experience working in cyber transformation projects
- Understanding on current and emerging cyber security threats and their impact to the industry

Performance Goals:

- Complete tasks on time
- Deal with clients, stakeholders and other employees professionally at all times
- work independently and make necessary decisions throughout the systems process within established guidelines.

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sydney, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
