Our Rehabilitation Counsellors work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals to deliver a range of occupational rehabilitation services to support people to identify their goals and enable them to live their best life possible.
**Job Description**:
Enjoy flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day. Providing occupational rehabilitation services, and psychological treatment to clients with a range of conditions and outcome goals. Your duties will include:
- Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks);
- Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
- Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;
- Providing evidence-based psychological interventions;
- Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical skills. Including but not limited to Initial assessments to form a diagnosis, treatment plans, psychosocial barriers to employment and Vocational Assessments for injured workers.
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualifications in an Allied Health Discipline or Health Sciences, with a postgraduate qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling
- Registration with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC) or Full Membership with the Rehabilitation Counselling Association of Australia (RCAA)
- Clinical knowledge of pathologies
- Strong communication skills to build and develop relationships
- Excellent time management skills - be able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
- A desire to problem solve with the confidence to be innovative, use their initiative and achieve results
- A passion for injury prevention, return to work, and the associated health benefits
- Energy and drive to grow our services
- A current drivers' licence and access to their own vehicle
