Project Lead Floodplain Management

**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
- Lead the development and implementation of technical projects for ongoing flood risk analysis and impacts and provide advice and recommendations that inform strategic planning activities and programs of work across a range of government and private sector organisations.
- Provide specialist flood technical advice on the Strategy to drive cross-government decision-making, program implementation, and future planning initiatives.
- Provide expert input into the communications strategy for the release of flood information that meets stakeholder needs.
- Provide support in program planning and evaluation, policy development, communications, and engagement activities, and attendance at meetings with other agencies, project working groups, and regional working groups to provide key input for flood risk management decisions.
- Lead and deliver high-quality technical writing, develop recommendations, and review technical documentation relating to flood risk management projects and advice.
- Provide expert input into the review and ongoing updates of the flood risk information database, including assumptions and the methodology. This would involve reviewing the approach to the flood damages assessment and providing risk information to ensure high-quality outcomes, data accuracy and integrity.
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:
Prior experience in the following:
- Floodplain Management including option and damages assessment.
- Project management
- Contractor management.
