**The Role**

An exciting opportunity now exists for two trainee patent attorneys to join our expanding engineering and medical technology team (one role in Sydney and one in Perth). The team works with an extensive and impressive range of local and overseas clients and has an active and growing patent and design practice.

**In this role you will**:

- Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to assist with their stimulating and technically diverse portfolio
- Start or further studies, including completing the highly-regarded Masters of Intellectual Property, fully supported by the firm
- Move towards qualification as a registered patent attorney

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Exceptional academic background in engineering - degree in mechatronic engineering, electrical engineering, physics, aerospace engineering, or similar, preferred
- Willing to undertake further study/professional training
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Superior analytical skills
- Enthusiasm, initiative and the ability to communicate technical concepts accurately and succinctly
