**About the role**:
A highly rewarding opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as our Dean of Higher Education within our Education Delivery division

This leadership position requires a dynamic individual with extensive experience in both Higher Education and Vocational Education, who can effectively bridge the synergy between the two. As the Dean of Higher Education, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional leadership and management. You will be responsible for the strategic direction of the faculty, quality and performance including research, teaching and learning, student experience, financial outcomes strategic business growth. You will encourage and value the input of employees focused on supporting BHI’s objectives and corporate values and lead an innovative, entrepreneurial approach that promotes growth within the Faculty and overall organisation.

A key aspect of the role will involve ensuring that the academic programs are innovative, highly respected in the community, and meet the requirements of students, employers, and professional accreditation bodies. You will drive excellence in teaching and the provision of effective learning opportunities for students through a commitment to continuous improvement.

In this position, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of all higher education programs, aligning them with BHIs strategic goals. This includes ensuring compliance with quality standards outlined by the Higher Education Standards Framework and TEQSA (Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency), managing course accreditation, and fulfilling reporting obligations to TEQSA.

As the Dean of Higher Education, you will be reporting to the Executive Director of the Education Delivery and the role will be based at our Elgar Road, Box Hill Campus however you may be required to travel on occasion to other Box Hill Institute sites.

**About You**:
If you are a passionate individual with academic qualifications that are supported by a recognised record of academic and scholarly achievements in the education discipline, then this role is for you

You will have demonstrated capacity to be innovative, creative and energetic in leading higher education and vocational programs, identifying new commercial business and educational opportunities to achieve and grow targets and profits, while also having outstanding experience in research and scholarly activities that have influenced and enhanced learning & teaching.

Your people leadership skills will be extensive and varied, you will have exceptional experience in senior management in a Higher Education environment and proven abilities to lead high quality and excellent business performance in our teaching and learning environment.

Your proven success in creating opportunities for communities of work colleagues and industry partners will demonstrate your ability to collaborate to add value to the whole of Institute. You will actively seek and act on opportunities to connect external parties and customers to the Institute.

You will have an outstanding ability to build relationships through interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to collaborate, network, and build mutually beneficial partnerships with people at all levels within BHI and with external partners and stakeholders.
