Children First is a not for profit organisation that provides preschool, long day care, occasional care, before and after school care, and vacation care services in the Blacktown area. It operates out of six sites and approximately 700 children attend these services in any week. In addition to providing child care services from its own centres, Children First, which is a service of Growing Potential, is funded to operate family support services to centres, families and children across Western Sydney.

**We are currently recruiting for Casual OOSH educators to work at our Outside School Hours centres located in Blacktown and Hassall Grove - Western Sydney.**

Casual educators would cover permanent staff on sick leave or annual leave and must be able to attend a shift with short notice (minimum 4 hours notice)

Shifts range between 2 hours to 4 hours during school terms (morning and afternoons) and 3 - 8 hours during school holidays.

Would suit uni students currently studying a Teaching degree wanting work experience with school aged children.

Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:

- Supervision of children
- Engaging with children
- Food preparation
- General cleaning and tidying
- Other duties as required by the Educational Leader / Nominated Supervisor

Mandatory Criteria:

- Working With Children Check Number.
- Covid -19 Vaccination (fully vaccinated)
- Must be over 18 years

Desirable Criteria:

- Current first aid certificate (including anaphylaxis, asthma and CPR) or willing to obtain
- Understanding of Child Protection and Mandatory reporting requirements

This is a casual role, therefore there are no specific or guaranteed hours per week. Must be available to work across both centres (Hassall Grove and Blacktown)

**Salary**: $32.00 - $33.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Morning shift
- No weekends
- On call
