**Position Details**
- **Role**: Personal Care Worker (Disability Support)
- **Hours**: 10-20 hours per week
- **Location**: Various Sydney locations (in-home and community-based support)
- **Employment Type**: Casual

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide safe, respectful, and person-centred **personal care**, including assistance with showering, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
- Confidently operate **hoists and other manual handling equipment** in accordance with safety guidelines and client care plans
- Assist clients with transfers, mobility, and daily routines, promoting dignity and independence at all times
- Support participants with light domestic tasks and meal preparation when required
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and report any changes in client wellbeing or behaviour
- Work collaboratively with families, therapists, and coordinators to ensure consistency in care
- Support clients in achieving their **NDIS goals** related to health, wellbeing, and routine
- Follow behaviour support strategies and risk management protocols where applicable

**What We’re Looking For**
- **Certificate III or IV** in Individual Support (Disability or Ageing) or a relevant qualification
- **Proven experience with manual handling and hoist use** in a home or care setting
- A compassionate, trauma-informed approach with a strong understanding of person-centred care
- **Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle** - essential for travel between clients
- **Current First Aid & CPR Certification**:

- **NDIS Worker Screening Check** (or willingness to obtain)
- **National Police Check** - recent and valid
- Knowledge of infection control, privacy, and mandatory reporting requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Experience supporting clients with complex physical needs or limited mobility highly regarded
