Dynamic Support worker (multiple Sites)

Casual, Part-Time | Sydney, NSW, Australia

Job Summary:
These Limited positions are for Dynamic Casual Support workers who will be hired under Southern Cross Care Pty Ltd and recommended to our client for ongoing shifts.

We are looking for a limited number of dedicated and experienced Disability support staff with minimum 2 years’ experience on the floor and Certificate 3 in individual support, preferably certificate 4 in Disability for positions all around Sydney. The Leaders and Managers will offer guidance, and you will have access to their online training platforms as required for your role.

The client is looking for Support workers that have a strong understand of the NDIS and obligations, are strong communicators, verbally in reading and writing, Emotionally Indigent, adaptable in any situation, resilient, have strong time management skills, experience in clinical and most of understand Duty of Care

The client will also be looking favorably on applicants that have experience in team leading as looking into promoting staff up after the probationary period

Key responsibilities and Duties:

- Assisting with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding)
- Supporting clients with mobility and physical assistance
- Monitor and document residents' progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
- Collaborate with the broader care team to provide holistic support to residents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility.
- Upkeep of site documentation and observations

Assisting with household tasks (cooking, cleaning)

Providing social support

Helping clients set and achieve goals

Administering medication

Accompanying clients to healthcare appointments

Keeping records of client data

Encouraging and companionship

Assisting with acquiring new skills or hobbies

Planning social activities

Communicating with stake holders when needed

To be eligible for position:

- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or other relevant qualification and 2 years on the floor
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011/HLTAID009).
- COVID & Flu Vaccine Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Driver’s licence and certification of roadworthy car (vehicle safety checklist will be required)
- Full comprehensive vehicle insurance.
- An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
- 100 points of ID
