Deliver excellence in aged care and support the Residential Manager lead an established clinical team to deliver high quality care for our 44 residents at St Bede’s and 29 residents at Bethlehem House.
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on clinical expert with excellent leadership and communication skills to pursue a career opportunity with Catholic Healthcare. This leadership role reports directly to the Residential Manager and requires a specific skill mix.
As Care Manager you will lead, support & manage direct reports whilst constantly reviewing the quality of care being provided to our residents. The Quality & Education component will see you conducting quality audits, reporting on findings and implementing changes if required.
We require an energetic, organised, IT savvy person who is comfortable taking the lead in a group situation with report writing skills. You will need to know your way around a spreadsheet and be able to collate information, find commonalities and make recommendations.
You will act as the clinical lead to ensure delivery of quality clinical and person first care for our residents. Responsibilities will also include:
- Develop, deliver training and lead clinical care staff to focus on a culture of continual improvement and quality
- Monitor and manage compliance with Aged Care Accreditation Standards
- Support ACFI processes
- Track, investigate and identify trends, determine corrective action and revaluate after action taken
- Identify education needs & implement programmes accordingly
- Ensure high quality resident care is consistently delivered throughout the home to all residents including updating of care plans, wound reviews and medication overview
On offer is a supportive and rewarding role that is both hands on and has key leadership functions. To be successful for this role, you will have:
- Registered Nurse with APHRA registration
- Certificate 4 in Workplace and Assessment Training (desirable)
- Demonstrated work experience as a Clinical Care Manager
- Extensive knowledge of the clinical functions of an Aged Care home and ACFI uplifts
- An in-depth understanding of Aged Care Standards
- Understanding of COVID 19 infection control practices
- Superior communication skills both written and verbal
- A passion for continuous learning and education
- Willingness to provide evidence of Flu vaccination and COVID 19 vaccination
