We have an opportunity for an **Experienced** **Medical Receptionist** to join our team at Vincentia Bay Medical**.**

We require an individual who is highly motivated, enthusiastic with a "can do" attitude towards all tasks, and the ability to work autonomously at a fast pace as well as in a team. This will be a growing practice so a cheerful personality is a must as well as is the ability to think on your feet

Your responsibilities will include:

- Open and Close clinic as per set procedure
- Greet patients and other callers in a professional and courteous manner
- Make appointments for patients
- Ensure medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
- Accurately process patient payments via cash, Eftpos, and direct bill transaction.
- Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC, Workcover.
- Knowledge of the MBS schedule and correct billing procedures
- Deal with referring doctors, hospital staff, pharmacists etc courteously and helpfully
- Attend to patient enquiries
- Fill in the roster when staff is away, on holidays and sick leave.
- Maintain the reception waiting area and consulting rooms tidy including the clean up of spills if necessary.
- Ensure the accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records with appropriate scanning, faxing and filing of all documents.
- At all times maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial information.
- Complete recalls.
- Support the day to day operations of the medical centre.
- Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills.
- High level of computer literacy and IT knowledge.
- Experience using Best Practice is desirable.
- Current Police Check
- Current Working with Children clearance
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate
- Immunisation Record
- Driving Licence/ Photo ID
- Selection Criteria:_
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team
- Experience with Medical software (BEST PRACTICE/MEDICAL DIRECTOR)
- Demonstrated strong organisational and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment, including multitasking
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated commitment to quality patient service
- At least 1 year experience as a Medical Receptionist is required

Remuneration will be negotiable based on experience.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- The Gap, QLD 4061: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Medical admin: 1 year (required)
