**The Role**:
Join our dynamic Community Engagement team as the **Alumni and Advancement Specialist ** In this pivotal role, you'll provide expert administrative and project support to the Alumni and Advancement teams, playing a key part in fostering strong relationships within our community. As the go-to person for managing Carey’s database and future CRM systems, you'll ensure smooth and efficient operations across departments.
Reporting to the Alumni and Community Manager, you'll work closely with a passionate and collaborative team while engaging with the wider School community. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys making a meaningful impact.
**Position Details**:

**The Average Day**:
**Database Management**
- Serve as the department owner of the School’s database including independent gift entry, receipting, reporting and updating of constituent records
- Lead data input and segmentation for reporting and fundraising specific activities including EDMs to contribute to revenue generation and growth
- Under the guidance of the Head of Advancement, create, implement and maintain a successful data management program including the creation of documentation and procedure manuals
**Administrative and Project Coordination**
- Oversee the School’s stewardship program, including creating and updating an annual engagement plan, with a particular focus on multiyear high net wealth moves management plans
- Coordinate storytelling and content in external and internal publications for Alumni and Advancement.
- Serve as the project coordinator for the School’s bequest program, with specific KPI’s related to role success
**The Person**:
- To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Experience in a for-purpose setting entering philanthropic donations, updating constituent records and running reports
- Excellent written communication and editing skills
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and distributing EDMs, digital newsletters and printed mail
- Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Accurate and reliable data entry with excellent attention to detail
- Strong skills in the use of technology and reconciliation of data across multiple systems
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with a high degree of professionalism
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility and proven organisation, time and project management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- “People person” with a proven ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion and professionalism
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of an administrative and multiskilled team
**A valid Employee Working with Children Check is a requirement of employment for this position.
