WA Cricket to looking to employ a contractor to assist in the education and training of WA Premier Cricket Umpires. This contractor role will ensure consistency of umpire coaching within the WA Cricket model and support the delivery of a seasonal development training programs.

This is a short term engagement from August 2025 until March 2026, suitable for someone who thrives working independently and delivering actionable insights.

**What’s involved**
- Deliver training sessions specifically for the WA Premier Cricket Umpiring cohort as required.
- Assist with Umpire Individual Development Plans that are in place for WA Premier Cricket umpires to enable identification of areas of development, and to assist in a targeted approach towards improvement.
- Visit Premier Clubs during pre-season and in-season to conduct practical umpire education sessions and to facilitate the development of good relationships between umpires, coaches and players.
- Personally observe umpire performances and provide constructive feedback in person, and also through the Match Official System (MOS).
- Review umpire self-assessments & diary entries in MOS and provide appropriate feedback to the umpire.

**A great fit for this role looks like**
- Demonstrated experience in sports administration or officiating, ideally within cricket.
- Strong working knowledge of cricket and its Laws.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships across varied stakeholders.
- Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Proven experience delivering training or information sessions in an engaging and informative way.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by the project schedule.
- A Working with Children card.
- Sound knowledge of coaching philosophies and practices (desirable)
- Experience in training and development (desirable)
- Representative (Level 2) Umpire Accreditation (desirable)

**Contract Details**
- Commence mid to late August 2025
- 7-month duration
- Various metropolitan locations
- Payment made by monthly invoice (contractor must have an ABN)
