We currently have a position available for a Blind and Tracking Manufacturer at our “A Curtains and Blinds” factory located in beautiful Burleigh Heads.

A Curtains and Blinds make all styles of high quality curtains and blinds.

We are looking for a new team member to join our tracking and blinds department. You would be learning to cut and assemble all the curtain tracking. You will also be assembling our roller blinds and any other relevant blind products.

This is a long term position where you will be fully trained in all aspects of the manufacture of window furnishings.

**Qualifications & Experience**

However
- Experience with tools or manufacturing is desirable.
- Previous experience in a factory or manufacturing environment would be very helpful.
- Physical work, movement and labour is required so you need to be physically able to lift and move tubing and fabric rolls and unpack packaging in order to complete the requirements of this job.
- You need to understand basic numbers, sizes and measurements in order to cut lengths of tracking and manufacture custom made items.
- Physical fitness (for lifting product) and walking up and down stairs (our factories span two levels) is required.

**Daily Tasks & responsibilities**
- Cutting and assembling aluminium curtain tracking as well as aluminium tubing for roller blinds
- Assembly of roller blinds and other blind types
- Frequent use of covered drop saw to cut tracking and tube
- Unpacking and unloading large fabric rolls, aluminium tube, boxes and tracking
- Moving large fabric rolls and associated large items once delivered
- Emptying bins and associated manufacturing waste (fabric and aluminium)
- Tidying and maintaining the factory space
